Joe Biden, the US president, contracts'mild' COVID-19

WASHINGTON- Having been diagnosed with new Covid-19, US President Joe Biden is being held in isolation at the White House.

According to White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, Biden, who received booster shots twice, is only showing very minor symptoms and will continue to perform all of his tasks.

The 79-year-old, who is the oldest person to have served as president of the United States, posted a photo to Twitter. I am doing well. Thank you for your concern, Biden remarked before adding, "I'm keeping busy!"

The elderly lawmaker has begun taking an antiviral medication in the interim to prevent serious illness.

According to reports in international media, antigen and PCR testing were used to confirm Biden's diagnosis. His symptoms include a runny nose, tiredness, and a dry cough.

President Biden took a second Covid vaccination booster shot earlier in March as he advised people to be vigilant.
